Wildlife Refuges

Because of all the wildlife we have in the area, there are several areas dedicated to preserving their habitat.

Whether in a national refuge, such as Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge or Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge or in sanctuaries such as Birdsacre in Ellsworth, see and learn about our wildlife. Eagles, puffins, moose, deer, whales – they are all here and are great fun to observe.
