Eastport
Eastport is the easternmost city in the U.S. Its downtown area is home to quaint shops, museums and eateries and its art community is thriving. You will not want to miss the opportunity to get out on Passamaquoddy Bay on one of the tours that are offered. If the timing is right you might be able to feel the pull of the "Old Sow" whirlpool, created by the currents and the strong tides. Make some time to hike in Shackford Head State Park or stroll along the walkway downtown or amble the tree lined streets for a view of historic architecture. Visit the nation's oldest ship chandlery and the only traditional stone ground mustard mill in North America.
Eastport has a huge 4th of July celebration and a Salmon Festival in fall as well as other events throughout the whole year.
