Little Deer Isle

The bridge to the mainland touches down at one end of
this oblong island. Just off its westernmost point Pumpkin Light is a
beacon for mariners.

Little Deer Isle is actually part of the town of Deer Isle. Most travelers over the bridge turn left onto the
connecting causeway to Deer Isle, but the explorer will want to visit this
quiet island by taking the road less traveled.

For information on how to view 8 area lighthouses and where to get your lighthouse passport stamped, please visit the Deer Isle Lighthouse Trail website.
