The Arts in all their many forms are thriving in DownEast & Acadia.

Events and trails in the area are often organized around artists and their work. Some groups of artists have put together routed for those interested in visiting their studios. Others hold concerts, classes and exhibits throughout the year as well as festival celebration art in the region and local communities.
Stories and storytelling are a tradition here too. From local legends and ghost stories to oral histories and authors who have been inspired by our region, there is much to be discovered.
Culinary delights span the spectrum from lobster bakes on the beach, to casual family fare to elegant gourmet dining. But whatever your preferences, you will find the food fresh and delicious.
